Ross-shire Hall is a luxury holiday home nestled in the Ross-shire countryside that provides luxury en-suite accommodation for up to 14 in the Highlands of Scotland. We offer guests the flexible choice of self-catering with the luxury of a daily housekeeper as well as part or fully catered stay, enjoying hassle-free evenings or special occasions when your hosts take care of the cooking!.

The house dates back to the 1700's, retaining many original features and is unique in providing many of the luxuries of a hotel with the relaxed informal atmosphere of a holiday home, decorated in a classic style complimented by both modern and antique finishings. Ross-shire Hall makes a fabulously unique venue for your holiday or special occasion.

The house has seven individually designed en-suite bedrooms and can accommodate up to fourteen adults, we can also arrange cots and fold-away beds for young children. The house sits amongst 6 acres of gardens and woodland in the peaceful Ross-shire countryside.

On the ground floor is the spacious, wood-panelled living & dining room with CD Stereo, a sitting room, the hall with honesty telephone, a fully-equipped kitchen with dishwashers, AGA, microwave, DeLonghi cooker & fridge/freezer and a WC.

On the lower ground floor there is a superking/twin bedroom with en-suite bathroom, a double bedroom with en-suite bathroom with double spa bath, a further superking/twin bedroom with en-suite shower room, a TV room with digital television, video and DVD player and a WC. All the bedrooms on the lower ground floor have underfloor heating.

On the first floor is a king-size bedroom with en-suite bathroom, 2 superking/twin bedrooms with en-suite bathroom and a superking bedroom with en-suite bathroom. The house also has WIFI Internet.

Whether you choose a self-catering stay or a serviced holiday all of your bedding and towels are provided. You will also find waffle dressing gowns, travel-size hair-dryers and "The Tub" toiletries in each room for your use during your stay with us. Each of our rooms have been furnished and decorated to give them their own unique character, each has an en-suite bathroom. We like to think that there is no one ‘Master bedroom’ and that each of our guests would be equally charmed by them all!

Ross-shire Hall is situated only 30 minutes drive north of Inverness just outside the small village of Evanton, Ross-shire. The house is nestled amongst woodland and peaceful farmland within easy reach of Inverness-shire, Sutherland, Ross-shire and the Black Isle.

For Salmon and Trout Fishing or guided Fly Fishing excursions we recommend local fishing professionals TroutQuest. Enjoy guided excursions to fish for salmon on the River Alness or brown trout on one of the many beautiful lochs in the area. TroutQuest has access to prime salmon & sea trout fishing on the private beats of the River Alness and can offer house guests weekly or day permits subject to availability. If you aren't familiar with fishing, fly fishing instruction is available on a private stocked lochan on the nearby Novar Estate. We can also arrange for private beats on the River Alness where TroutQuest will be delighted to teach any of your group.

Many of the top courses in the north of Scotland are within a forty mile radius of the house. Go north and admire the stunning views of Brora, Golspie and Tain all of which are pay and play courses. Or play the highest regarded course in the area, Royal Dornoch with stunning views over the Dornoch Firth, recently rated in the top fifteen courses in the world. Head south towards Inverness and choose from Fortrose & Rosemarkie, Nairn, the Walker Cup venue in 1999 and Nairn Dunbar, a highly rated championship links course, offering some of the best golfing land in the area.

Take a boat trip out in the Moray Firth and go Dolphin watching and see some of our wildlife up close, including seals and red kites. You could also take a sunset boat trip with wine and BBQ for your party or walk out to Chanantry Point to see if you can spot bottlenose dolphins at the turn of the tide.

Whether it's a days grouse, pheasant or clay-pigeon shoot or a full week of stalking on some of the Highlands best estates, we can arrange hunting trips for your party with qualified professionals.

Explore the local area to its full and enjoy the great outdoors by taking either a short local walk like the ones below or why not take a guided walk, where you will be joined by a professional who can show you some hidden treasures and tell you more about the area which surrounds you, we can also meet you with a picnic lunch half-way to give you a chance to re-charge!

Mountain biking is a great way to enjoy the outdoors and there are some fantastic places to cycle on our doorstep, If you are looking for a quieter cycle amongst some beautiful scenery or a more demanding and muddy off-road experience. You don't need to bring your own bike and specialist instructors can on hand to point you in the right direction!

Inverness is easily accessible by rail, as are our nearest towns; Alness and Dingwall. There are also overnight train services on the Caledonian Sleeper direct from London Euston to Inverness.

If you would like some catering during your stay this can be arranged to suit your individual requirements. Serving  home-cooked meals using fresh local produce as well as hearty Scottish breakfasts or picnic lunches. Perhaps a special meal for an occasion, prices for a three course meal typically cost between £35 and £45 per head. Our housekeeper will come each day to ensure the house is comfortable for you, doing up to two hours cleaning each day. Extra housekeeping is available on request.

Marquee hire is possible from approx £3000. An £800 events fee is needed in addition to a weeks rental price.

Availability
All year. However from May – Oct we still only take week bookings from Sat-Sat. Weddings can be inside of these weeks or for a weekend wedding both weeks would need to be booked.

There are several local churches. The house has a wedding license for up to 50 people.

Accommodation
14 adults can sleep on site plus 2 cots and 2 fold-away beds for young children. There are bed and breakfasts in vthe illage 2 miles away and hotel accommodation from 8 miles away.

30 minutes drive from Inverness and Inverness airport. Train stations at Inverness and Dingwall.
