Built in 1745, Inglethorpe Hall was once a substantial North Norfolk private estate and residence. Still set in thirty acres of private grounds and parkland, it offers exceptional views across the Wash and is just one of a few Grade II* listed Country Houses in England. This fascinating and historic building has just undergone an extensive three year restoration and is now ready to open its doors for rental by the week as a holiday house. It is also available for one off events - making Inglethorpe Hall the perfect place for the wedding of your dreams, the party of a lifetime, or simply a relaxing weekend away. It has also recently been featured in the Guardian Travel as a recommended property for 2012.
Ideally positioned on the beautiful and undulating North Norfolk coast, the Hall lies on the boundary of the Royal Estate at Sandringham, just one of the amazing historic houses to visit in the area, and within easy reach of the beaches at Hunstanton, Brancaster and Holkham, the Market Towns of Fakenham, Swaffham and Kings Lynn as well as the idyllic villages of Snettisham, Burnham Market and Holt.
The Hall itself sleeps 15 but we can accommodate up to 30 people at a time when all the holiday cottages within the estate are included. Inside we have two stunning drawing rooms that have the capacity for up to eighty - and the York stone terrace that leads off them boasts sublime views out to the sea making it an original and unique setting to create the event of your dreams.
Alternatively it's possible to rent the whole house for you and your family and friends for a holiday - by the week or month. The house in itself can accommodate 15, and includes a large kitchen with an Aga, separate dining room with a log burning stove, a dedicated TV room (all 42 inches of it) and one spacious sitting room. Most bedrooms are equipped with a TV and some have a DVD. We have an extensive DVD Library available to our guests. There is also a Wii and PS3.
