Intimate stylish gatherings with a difference - where “Privacy is the Ultimate Luxury”. The Georgian Mansion Estate in Kinsale has been voted Ireland’s “premier private estate for exclusive hire” and offers a new experience in the private venue market.

Guests will enjoy the experience of a 40 acre luxury, private country residence, complete with your own personal chef & butler in the inspirational setting of renowned medieval tourist town Kinsale. This is Ireland’s culinary capital and a mere 20 minutes by road from Cork International Airport.

Although we can offer all of the luxuries you would expect in any five-star setting, we do not have the downsides of a hotel or guesthouse i.e. sharing with people you do not know. With the owners' 25 years experience in the event management business, we are fast becoming known as Ireland’s Premier Intimate Events House with a guarantee of privacy, discretion and style.

There are 22 en-suite bedrooms on the estate: 14 in the Main House, 4 in the Stone Cottage and 4 in the Coachhouse. If all bedrooms are occupied to capacity the estate sleeps a maximum of 52 adults. The estate is only ever “Exclusively Yours” whatever the size of your group. There are different rental prices for groups up to 12, 28 or 44.

For small groups of less than 16 people, there is an intimate private dining room with adjoining sitting room with fireplace, stone walls and atmospheric lighting. For groups up to 50 people, the Renaissance-style Ballroom for formal dining. For groups up to 90+, it’s the  Garden Room which adjoins the Ballroom. For casual dining such as buffets and barbecues, the number of guests can go slightly higher depending on requirements and subject to agreement.

The magnificent south-facing walled gardens feature an outdoor entertainment patio, croquet lawn, playground, helipad, picnic lawn, stream and pond, and lead down to woods and a small boat jetty on the Bandon River estuary. The informally manicured  grounds are perfect for outdoor cocktail parties, activities, garden parties and BBQ’s.

The grounds have undergone a huge regeneration programme to bring the many native species in the old forest of Cappagh Wood back to their former glory. There is close to 40 acres on the private estate including: a beautiful south-facing terrace to the front of the Danford Ballroom, with steps leading down onto an outdoor entertainment patio with its own fire pit. Croquet lawn with a gazebo. Playground. Helipad. Vast lawns and gardens. Numerous ponds and streams. Small boat jetty. Forest pagoda. Woodland Walks. Ample guest parking. All-weather covered barbecue area.

The House is less than 2 kilometres from the outskirts of Kinsale, County Cork, Ireland. Kinsale is frequently referred to as Ireland's Riviera and enjoys a continental ambiance with a wide selection of renowned restaurants, cafes & pubs buzzing with live music, against a background of ancient forts. Visitors are captivated by the town's setting, its long waterfront, narrow streets and slate-clad houses.

Kinsale is a top class centre for many activities including sailing, yachting, deep sea fishing, diving, watersports, windsurfing, horseriding and golf.  There are three golf courses including the world-famous Old Head course.

Kinsale attracts a diverse population from the four corners of the world and is one of the most sought after addresses in Ireland. This popularity is aided by its location - Cork city (40 minutes), Cork International Airport (20 minutes), Cork Railway Station (40 minutes). 

As part of your stay, the owners can organise a number of activities at the private estate - either for individuals or various size groups. This list of activities is not exhaustive but is meant to give some suggestions as to the type of activities both at the House and in the near vicinity of the estate.

It is possible to bring in certain expertise and activities on site so you can enjoy them in the comfort and privacy of the estate. Some of these include: various health and beauty therapists that can be brought in. Transfers and limousine hire. Helicopter hire. Personalised local or national sightseeing tours. Hot air balloon. Magicians and other Children’s entertainers. Horseriding instructors and horses. Bicycles. Archery. River Kayaking. Football. Croquet. Art classes and pottery (next door is the Kinsale Art and Pottery school). Cookery Classes (either by our own resident Chef or we can bring in a host of national and internationally renowned chefs). Murder Mysteries – either by the day or weekend. Treasure Hunt and a full range of group activities.

Any level of catering is available for your group. We can tailor this and and any other services to the specification of your event.

Within a 45 minute drive there are 5 golf courses which would suit all levels of players from novice to professional. We can organise your golf for you, organise airport transfers, organise the buses to take you to/from the golf courses - and when you return 'home', you will be able to enjoy your own private bar and dining room to relive the days successes (or failures).

Weddings: Make your dreams come true and enter a world of elegance by holding your weekend of a lifetime at our unique “Private Estate for Exclusive Hire”. With our creative hands on approach and event management background, we will make your romantic destination wedding an unforgettable experience. We are ideally suited for weddings of up to 96 people in our recently restored Garden Room or up to 50 people in our Ballroom. Or we can organise multiple intimate events for your wedding group. For example, you may wish to have an intimate family dinner on the first night, 80 people for the actual wedding dinner and then additional numbers the following day for a relaxed barbecue or buffet.

Our minimum requirement is 1 night if mid-week (Monday to Thursday) or 2 nights if you want to have either a Friday, Saturday or Sunday night. A 12.5% service charge will be added to the final food and beverage bill to cover 2 on-site planning meetings, ceremony management, wedding planning time, advice on external suppliers, scheduling, contingency planning, event and time rundowns from the minute you arrive at the house right through to checkout, and recommendations by your dedicated wedding planner. An itemised Crib Sheet, Rates and Services document as well as sample wedding budget is available on request.

- Security deposit: This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price.
- End of stay cleaning: Included. Please leave the property in the state that you found it.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.

- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
