Bird Grove House is a Grade II listed mansion, nestling on the cusp of the beautiful Peak District Country Park. Set in 11 acres of stunning gardens to be explored at your leisure, the house also sits on the banks of the glorious River Dove. Groups come here to enjoy a break and get away from it all with family and friends. Alternatively why not use the house for a unique wedding experience, that can be turned in to a full weekend of celebration!

From its tranquil rural location, it is hard to believe that it is still only a 5 minute drive from the picturesque and stylish market town of Ashbourne, boasting all local amenities, antique shops, boutiques and giftwares; a visit to the fabulous Alton Towers is only 20 minutes from Bird Grove House.

During your stay you can enjoy a multitude of outdoor pursuits including walking, sailing, horse riding and shooting - the list is endless. Inside you can make the most of the indulgent Clive Christian kitchen with good food and company, followed by a stroll to the pub. Relax in front of the open fireplaces that were made for family games and chat, or maybe the 2m TV projector with Sky and DVD perfect for popcorn and movie nights.

When your day is done and sleep calls, retire to any one of the 12 bedrooms available for your comfort.

On arrival, you are greeted by the large entrance hall, with open fire, sofas and projector screen (hidden in the ceiling). From here you will find the snug, a cosy chill-out room with comfy couches and flat screen TV; the luxurious Drawing Room for some peace and quiet and also the traditional Dining Room.

The kitchen has been tastefully decorated and designed for all your needs, including an island for preparation, all with marble worktops, an American style fridge/freezer and super functional Viking range to cook your dishes in style. The old fashioned scullery houses the entertainment system, along with 2 dishwashers, washing machine and drinks fridge.

A games room is available, fully stocked with toys to keep the little ones occupied. There is 1 twin bedroom on the ground floor and 2 cloakrooms.

At the top of the sweeping staircase you will find the ten further bedrooms. Six doubles, two twin rooms and two family rooms, each sleeping four. Six bedrooms have en-suite facilities and there are two shared bathrooms and one shared shower room. WiFi access throughout the house.

The 11 acres include the river, an orchard, paddock, woods and formal gardens. Take in the views, paint, sketch, read, relax or perhaps you may enjoy boules and croquet on the lawns, bbq and a glass of wine on the terrace.
