Imagine yourselves as the host of a grand party at this C19th Lincolnshire Hall. Why not take over the house and its fifteen bedrooms for the ultimate swanky party? Whether your planning a special birthday, anniversary celebration, family reunion or just a good old knees up with dear friends we’ll work with you to make it a night to remember.

The Hall is a C19th country house set in lovely countryside on the Lincolnshire and Nottinghamshire border just a short drive from the historic market town of Newark.

Its unspoilt location in the countryside away from noisy roads, its lovely park and gardens and its elegant rooms – are the very things that make it the perfect place for swanky house parties and smart nuptials - and maybe the occasional meeting with jackets and ties off. You will love the feeling of a grand, old English country house where you can sink into a comfy sofa by a roaring fire and be treated like guest in a home. You won’t find a corporate reception, annoying little signs telling you what to do or the dreaded trouser press!

What you will find is a warm welcome, discreet staff, fine wines and good food. We’ve created a house that is a convenient mix of old and new – beautiful antiques and paintings combined with modern touches such as air conditioning, wifi access, decent showers and extremely comfortable beds.

If you book an event, you will have the whole place to yourselves: 15 bedrooms, 4 reception rooms with adjoining terraces, an orangery that seats 200 and 24 acres of enchanting park and gardens. There will be more to come when we open our spa.

One of the best things about the Hall is the bedrooms. Each room is spacious and super comfortable. They have been decorated as individual guest rooms in a private house rather than as the identical and soulless rooms found in many hotels.

All of our rooms are different, but each has sumptuous fabrics or interesting wallpapers, oil paintings or old prints on the walls, independently controlled heating and air conditioning, and lovely views over the gardens and park of the Hall. The majority of the rooms have large, inviting super king mattresses with crisp cotton sheets, plenty of pillows and feather duvets. Every room has its own modern bathroom, some with a shower over the bath, some with a separate shower and bath, and two with really fantastic showers with no bathtub. We like to think that our decorating style is traditional country house, but with a freshness that makes it feel modern and unstuffy.

The Hall is within easy reach of the A1 on the Nottinghamshire-Lincolnshire border.

The 24 acres of gardens and grounds provide the setting for a wide range of outdoor and team building events. Facilities nearby include top class clay pigeon shooting, archery, fishing, off road driving, and traditional shooting days.

During your stay you will receive a warm welcome, discreet staff, fine wines and good food.

Weddings
Let’s get something straight: We are not a hotel. Yes, we do have 15 bedrooms for you and your guests, but the experience is quite different. When you have your wedding at the Hall, you’ll get the whole place exclusively to yourself. All the rooms, 24 acres of gardens and grounds: everything. We wouldn’t dream of having two events at the same time.

The Hall is licensed for civil ceremonies and there are a number of elegant rooms to choose from. The Music Room, with it enormous windows overlooking the parterre, is perfect for weddings of up to 100 guests. For larger groups, our magnificent Orangery can seat up to 210 people for the grandest wedding breakfast. There’s plenty of room for a live band, a DJ and a proper dance floor. So go ahead and dance the night away.

Afterwards, our comfy Chocolate Bar stays open late for house guests… after all, it’s your house for the evening and you’ve got the whole place to yourselves.

One thing we hear from our guests time after time is, “What a beautiful setting!”. We agree. Your friends will love sneaking out to the lake or walking through the gardens in the moonlight. And the south terrace, with its 300 foot water feature, is a truly stunning place for your wedding photos.


Corporate events
Whether you are a small meeting or a large conference, the Hall has just the room for your event. We're only 5 mins drive from the A1, but we're totally discreet. A distraction free setting for the best business brainstorms. A space for clear thinking and healthy debate. Our elegant meeting rooms lend themselves perfectly for top level discussions. Each provides flexible space for creative exchanges, networking sessions, working lunches or as private dining rooms.

- Security deposit: £1000. This is paid prior to arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price.
- End of stay cleaning: Included. Please leave the property in the state that you found it.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.
