This charming stone cottage is situated in the Blackdown Hills, designated an 'An Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty'.
The cottage sleeps 5/6 and is available all year round. Just perfect for that relaxed getaway, honeymoon, convalescence, walking, corporate treat - whatever your needs, it is a great place to be.
During the autumn and winter the cottage is a very cosy place to stay ,with logs provided for the Inglenook open fire.
On the ground floor there is an entrance from the terrace (at rear of property) into the kitchen (with electric Aga) and dining area. The living room comes with large inglenook fireplace and just off this room is a small guest bedroom with Laura Ashley day- bed. Also on this floor is a utility/shower room/WC/sink/washing machine. Facilities include: log fire, internet access, TV, CD player, telephone, dishwasher, linen and towels provided.
On the first floor there are 3 further bedrooms and a further bathroom.
- Bedroom 1: Double with 5ft solid oak four poster bed and french windows to balcony.
- Bedroom 2: Double with 4ft 6 French bed.
- Bedroom 3: Single room with french empire 2ft 6 bed. Step up to French window on to large balcony with far reaching views.
- Bathroom with Victorian style hand held shower over bath/wash basin/WC.
The gardens extend to 3/4 of an acre with immediate access to a public footpath and ajoining paddock and woodlands. Garden furniture with parasols are provided for the summer. In addition there is a terrace and space for parking.

The West Country has an enormous amount to offer everyone, from bustling golden beaches and wonderful harbours to quiet country walks. Good pubs and excellent food. Wildlife and beautiful gardens. Historic Houses and Churches.
There are many interesting places to visit including: Forde Abbey, Montacute House, Barrington Court and Cricket St Thomas Park, all only a short drive away. The 'Jurassic Coast' at Lyme Regis is approx. 35 mins. Exeter, Weymouth, Minehead and Dunster Castle are approx. 1hr. The nearest large towns are Taunton, the county town of Somerset and Yeovil. The smaller country towns of Crewkerne, Chard, Ilminster, and Honiton are within easy distance. The nearest railway is Taunton 15 km away.
Local sports include: horse Riding, golf within 30 mins drive and fishing.

- Security deposit: €300. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.
- Energy costs: Included in the rental price.
- End of stay cleaning: Included. Please leave the property in the state that you found it.
- Arrival time: 4pm onwards.
- Departure time: 10am.
- Pets: No.
- Smoking: No smoking in the property.
- Children: We do not allow children under 10yrs (except babes in arms) due to balconies, steep steps, and pond.
- Weddings: If you wish to have a wedding at the property a negotiable wedding fee applies on account of additional wear and tear.
- It is recommended that all guests take out insurance to cover against potential cancellation and any accidental damage caused during your stay at the property.
Wonderful cottage! everything is so comfortable and perfectly beautiful! the most generously equipped place we have ever stayed in - it was just like staying in a 'jewel box'. What can we say - we'll be back for more!
