The Elizabethan Hall Apartments sit in the shadow of a castle within a small hamlet; on the edge of the Victorian Spar town of Matlock. The Elizabethan Hall is in the essence of tranquility and unarguably one of the most romantic places in the country. An ideal walk-from-the-door location due to its endless footpaths in every direction. A private tennis court and equipment is available free of charge. In addition a well kept, mature garden is availalbe for your enjoyment.

10 en suite bedrooms come with four poster beds, Sony LCD TVs, dining areas and mini kitchens equipped with microwave, kettle, fridge and Wedgwood China. Restaurant facilities are offered on site but you will have exclusive use of the dining room and conservatory during your stay so let your hosts cater for you as much or as little as you please.

The Hall is is made up of 10 studio apartments that are hired together to give you exclusivity of the property for a large group but with all the privacy you need. Each apartment has a bedroom with four poster bed, Sony LCD TV, dining area, mini kitchens and en suite bathroom. Included in each bedroom are bathrobes, bath sheets, hand towels and Gilcrist and Soames Toiletries.

Restaurant facilities are offered on site but you will have exclusive use of the dining room and conservatory during your stay so let your hosts cater for you as much or as little as you please.

Experience peace and tranquillity in the old walled garden and orchard, filled with bird life and birdsong, as well as the conservatory. The Hall enjoys a peaceful and picturesque location with spectacular views and scenic walks nearby. Guests enjoy exclusive use of the tennis court and mature gardens.

The Hall is located in a quiet hamlet a few miles from Matlock and Cromford. The village is surrounded by lovely, peaceful countryside with excellent walking and cycling from the door.

All the major sights of the Peak District, such as Chatsworth House, Haddon Hall and Carsington Water are readily accessible from the Hall.

The menu largely features British and International delights and there might be starters of seared scallops with chorizo sausage and black pudding with beetroot and apple salad. Moving on, the main course of chump of lamb with dauphinoise potatoes, swede puree and lamb consommé is excellent, finally ending with an iced nougatine parfait. The global wine list offers numerous choices that complement the meal expertly.
