This Victorian shooting lodge stands in one of the most beautiful valleys of Wester Ross, half a mile from the head of Loch Broom and 8 miles from the idyllic fishing village of Ullapool in heart of The Scottish Highlands.
Braemore Lodge has undergone careful refurbishment and modernisation sympathetic to the history of the property. The public rooms are decorated in rich, warm colours with timber floors and rugs. There are 10 bedrooms and nine bath or shower rooms. The large kitchen is a delight for socialising with its modern, blue timber units, Aga and farmhouse dining table. The lounge with open fire and large, comfortable sofas is very inviting and the rich, red dining room is conducive to great after-dinner conversation.
The lodge, on a 20,000-acre Estate, includes the whole of the south bank of the River Broom for fishing. This is an ideal home for sporting or walking holidays and relaxing family breaks.
This remarkable Victorian Shooting Lodge sleeps from 2 to 18 people in 10 bedrooms (8 doubled and 2 singles) and 9 bathrooms. There are 20,000 acres on the estate to explore which includes the whole of the west bank of the River Broom for fishing. The low grounds have stunning parks interspersed with native woodland of birch, alder, rowans and rare caledonian pines that attract an incredible variety of resident and migratory wildlife. Wonderful walks on the estate give you the opportunity to enjoy the spectacular views of Loch Broom and rugged beauty of the Scottish Highlands.

The lodge is 8 miles from the village of Ullapool, nestled on the shores of Lochbroom about 1 hour North of Loch Ness and Inverness airport. It is the perfect base to discover Ross-shire, Cromarty, Sutherland, The Black Isle and Inverness.
For a night out or eating out in Ullapool there are many Hotels, Restaurants and Public Houses in the village all serving the finest food. Locally caught seafood to delight any palate including prawns, lobsters, crabs, mussels, scallops are on offer throughout the village. Add to this delicious Scottish beef, steaks and the contents of Scotland's fabulous larder and you have a gourmets delight.
Fly-fishing on the classic spate River Broom runs from mid-June right through to the end of September. The estate has 4 rods. Like many west coast rivers there is a catch and release policy. There is plentiful salmon as well as trout fishing on lovely remote hill lochs and a boat is available by arrangement on the largest of these.
There is stalking available for 1 or 2 rifles from August with up to 8 stags being taken in a week.
Other activities include boating on the loch, hill walks and mountain walks, flora & fauna, cycling, indoor swimming pool.
We can usually arrange a cleaner/housekeeper as well as a cook at additional cost.
- Security deposit: £500. This is paid on arrival and will be refunded in full after departure subject to damage inspection.
- Linen & towels: All linen and bath towels are included in the rental price.

- End of stay cleaning: Included. Please leave the property in the state that you found it.
- Arrival time: 4.30pm onwards.
