This classic Georgian rectory could have been lifted straight from a TV period drama. Set in ten acres of woodland, it comprises the main house, an adjacent coach house and a small cottage, which are rented together for large groups of up to 32.

There is a large farmhouse kitchen, open fires, plenty of seating indoors and out, a games room and extensive lawns. The outdoor pool is heated and the gorgeous North Devon surfing beaches and coastal walks are only twenty minutes away. Bude is the nearest resort and Widemouth and Sandymouth are some of the spectacular unspoilt beaches.

The Rectory itself sleeps 16 in four double rooms, two twins (one leading off a double), and a very large dormitory size room containing four single beds. The coach house sleeps 12 in three doubles, one twin, and a large room with four beds. The houses have four bathrooms between them.

The kitchens in both houses are warm, traditional farmhouse affairs, with Agas, long wooden tables with country chairs, and wooden beams. They both come fully equipped for cooking group meals. The dining room in the Rectory seats up to 22 but for even larger groups, seating is available for 28 in the games room which was once the village hall (even though it is half a mile from the village). There is even a small stage and an organ for musical interludes! Catering can be arranged if you’re planning any celebratory meals. Both houses have large cosy living rooms with open fires.

The games barn, always a hit with children, has table tennis. There is a snooker room in the rectory with a ¾ size snooker table, and a grand piano in one of the two large living rooms. The property sits within 10 acres of private grounds that are wonderful to explore. Guests also have exclusive use of the outdoor heated pool.

Secluded in its own woodland and extensive gardens, the property is half a mile from the local village and its pub. It's also only two miles to the town of Holsworthy.

Beyond the ten acres with the house which you can spend hours exploring, you’ll find this a very popular part of the country for family holidays, with an enormous amount of outdoor attractions. There are beaches, walks on Dartmoor, gardens with trails, riding, tennis, surfing and more.
